Cybersecurity Symposium: Unprecedented Interest Among Malagasy Youth
The "Cybersecurity Symposium," organized by CIRT Madagascar as part of the Prodigy project in collaboration with UGD and several partners, concluded its work on Tuesday after two days of intensive discussions. The closing ceremony was marked by the awarding of significant prizes: training vouchers worth 2,000,000 ariary, project financing for training, and personalized vouchers valid for Exclusive Networks and Fortinet training catalogs. Despite the shortage of qualified technicians and low awareness among decision-makers, the event mobilized over a hundred young people in a competition and about fifty for training in computer attacks and defense. "It was a completely new experience for me. I was only doing web development before. The experts and coaches not only helped us technically, but they constantly motivated us," testified a competition winner. After his victory, his coach, CEO of a company, directly contacted him about professional opportunities. His philosophy: "All projects were offered for free. I am ready to work voluntarily to advance the country. The more I share, the more employers seek me out. My goal is for them to need the skills I acquired at ENI." Heriniaina Samson
