The announcement of the road opening between Philibert-Tsiranana High School and the new multisports covered gymnasium at Mangarivotra was made last January. This municipal road was to be opened to bicycles, motorcycles, pedestrians, and students of the public high school, forty-five days after the sports infrastructure security work. However, eight months later, the road remains inaccessible to the public and two-wheelers. On Tuesday, the Sports Minister and Mahajanga local authorities visited the site to assess the situation. He announced the imminent opening of this road in the public interest and for high school students. However, certain conditions must be met. "Efforts will be made to open the road connecting Philibert-Tsiranana High School to the gymnasium before the school year begins. Additional work will be carried out to secure the facilities of the large covered gymnasium before the road opens. The objective is to open the road on time to facilitate student and resident movement and improve local infrastructure. Construction work on the multisports complex is scheduled to resume in early 2027." On January 22, the new regional director of Sports for Boeny had stated that this access would open after forty-five days of work.
