A cooperation agreement signing ceremony between Jirama and Granville company took place yesterday at Ambohijatovo. A solar battery assembly unit and a specialized technical training center will be established through two agreements concluded between Jirama and Granville to strengthen solar energy capacity in Madagascar. Two complementary approaches to develop skills and equipment. Jirama and Granville signed two cooperation agreements yesterday at the state company's headquarters in Ambohijatovo. The documents were initialed by Jirama's general director, General Hajatiana Rasolomanana, and Granville's general director, Tabi-Tabi, in the presence of Jirama's Board Chairman, General Itibar Ottman. According to reports, the first agreement concerns the establishment of a solar battery assembly unit. Concluded for an initial period of twelve months, the partnership can be extended based on results achieved, particularly its contribution to Jirama's recovery and the development of Madagascar's energy sector. Technical Training The second component involves creating a center to train technicians specialized in the installation and maintenance of solar electricity production and distribution equipment. Cooperation can also be extended to other areas related to production, distribution, and various technical operations in the electrical sector. This agreement is concluded for five years. Granville will cover the expenses necessary for project startup. Forty Jirama employees will be trained each year, totaling 200 technicians over the partnership duration. They will acquire specific skills in operating and maintaining solar electricity production infrastructure. Project implementation should begin immediately after the agreements are signed. Eventually, the training facility should also be opened to young people not working at Jirama, expanding skills transfer beyond the public company.
