"With the arrival of cold weather, the number of patients is increasing due to widespread colds," says Dr Eddy Rabetsoa, physician at the Espace sanitaire interentreprises d'Antananarivo (ESIA), in Andranomena, which was inaugurated on June 19 as part of its 20th anniversary.
This illness affects both children and adults, according to observations by physicians at this healthcare and occupational medicine organization. "Seasonal changes are conducive to flu. While children are particularly exposed to lung infections, work-related fatigue remains the main triggering factor in adults," explains another physician. These respiratory diseases should not be taken lightly, according to health professionals who emphasize they require medical consultation.
ESIA relocated one of its centers to Andranomena to get closer to its members, so that employees of member companies no longer have to travel far to a health center when they fall ill, according to its board chairman, Hervé Randriamananandro.
ESIA currently brings together four hundred member companies. Its three centers provide care for general pathologies and occupational health through specific health assessments, supplemented by dental care services. They also have partner laboratories.
