Ambanja will host the third edition of the Beauty Festival on August 28-29. Organized by the Diaconie de la Beauté Association of the Ambanja Diocese, this major gathering will bring together artists, Christian communities, and cultural actors around art and faith. This new edition takes on special significance with the announced presence of Daniel and Anne Facérias, founders of the Beauty Diaconie movement. Before performances and activities, participants will enjoy two days of spiritual retreat on August 26-27. Prayer, teachings, and artistic preparation are planned. For organizers, this offers the festival a distinctive entry point, as faith inspires artists to create meaningful work. Festivities begin August 28 with a carnival through the streets of the cacao capital. Local traditions will be highlighted through costumes and dances. An exhibition-sale will allow artisans to showcase their works. Local expertise will thus have its place in this meeting that seeks to blend beauty and identity. The most concrete novelty of this third edition may be the House of Artists. Its official inauguration is scheduled during the festival. The establishment will serve as a permanent venue to train and support artists in their vocation.
