Candidates for the 2026 baccalaureate in Fianarantsoa were able to check their results yesterday. Fianarantsoa province recorded an overall pass rate of 51%, a significant decline compared to the 2025 session, which saw a pass rate of nearly 58% (57.98%). In the two previous sessions, the percentage of successful candidates was 55.15% in 2024 and 57.89% in 2023. Fianarantsoa thus shows a drop in performance for the 2026 session. Nevertheless, some strong performances were observed in certain streams: 75% pass rate for the C series of general baccalaureate, with 193 successful candidates out of 257; 70% for technical and vocational streams, with 744 successful candidates out of 1,066. Other streams recorded pass rates not exceeding 65%. For the general baccalaureate, series A1 shows 54%; series A2, 46%; series D, 62%; OSE, 63%; series L, 61%; series S, 37%, the lowest pass rate across all streams. Finally, the technological baccalaureate recorded a 55% pass rate.
