During the celebration of the first decade of the Malaza library. Through a public-private partnership, a community library named "Malaza" has been established in the fokontany of Malaza, located in the commune of Ampitatafika. This infrastructure was realized through close collaboration between the municipality of Ampitatafika and the couple Dany Rakotoarimalala. "The idea of setting up such a structure, now a decade ago, was born from the ingenious initiative of our two sons, Geoffroy and Matthieu Rakotoarimalala. Their goal was to support children and young people in the Malaza neighborhood on an educational level to prevent juvenile delinquency. This building, constructed according to required standards and accessible to the general public, has become a reading and research space for anyone wishing to enrich their knowledge and learning. Currently, over 2,500 books are available to Malaza residents. The documentary collection includes, among others, books for early childhood and youth, cultural, literary and scientific works, novels, and various educational manuals in line with the official school curriculum, in order to meet the needs of the local community," emphasized Dany Rakotoarimalala, founder of the establishment, during the ceremony marking the tenth anniversary of the Malaza library.
A Learning Center for All
He also clarified that access to all these resources remains completely free. "This initiative not only contributes to the intellectual development of youth, but also strengthens human capital. For example, students have managed to obtain their baccalaureate by regularly studying and researching within the Malaza library, rightly considered a learning center for all. Other users also highlight the major impact of this facility in improving local educational levels. Furthermore, children who have registered also benefit from access to the swimming pool. For our part, this achievement embodies our commitment to the socio-economic development of the nation, as members of the diaspora living in France," he continued. A delegation from the municipal office of Ampitatafika, led by the deputy mayor, alongside the head of the CISCO of Atsimondrano and numerous distinguished guests, honored the celebration of this first decade of existence last Saturday. On this occasion, the decentralized territorial authority granted a donation of about sixty school manuals intended for 7th grade students preparing for the CEPE exam. Furthermore, the couple Dany Rakotoarimalala distributed candy to children who are members of the library, in addition to the traditional sharing of the birthday cake.
