A fire broke out in the fokontany of Anadabo, rural commune of Isinko, in Tsaratanàna, last Monday. Fifty-eight houses were completely destroyed by the flames, leaving 288 people from several families homeless. The cause of the fire and the extent of material damage have not yet been determined.

Facing this situation, the Betsiboka Region has already taken action to help those affected. Blankets, four boxes of soap and ten solar lamps have been distributed to them. Additional aid from the State and BNGRC is expected, particularly construction materials including cement and corrugated metal sheets, to enable affected families to rebuild their homes.

The delivery of this aid could prove difficult due to Isinko's isolation. The commune is located approximately 80 kilometers from RN4 and some road sections are particularly difficult to travel by car. Several hours are needed to reach the locality, which risks further complicating assistance to those affected.
