The road in Ambohimiandra could remain closed today. Although Jirama announced the completion of water pipe replacement work yesterday, restoration work on the road section affected by the pipe replacement project in this area is not yet finished. "The construction proved heavier than expected. Instead of being limited to the pipe zone, we had to open the entire roadway," said a source from the Ministry of Public Works yesterday. Technicians have been working to repair the affected road section. The official from the Ministry of Public Works assures that everything is being done to complete the work as quickly as possible and reopen traffic before the festivities. Two major pipes were replaced in Ambohimiandra, including the main DN 500 pipes and another DN 250 pipe that was leaking near the new installation. This work has been completed. Jirama announces the gradual resumption of water supply in areas affected by disruptions or cuts related to these two interventions.
