Malagasy youth are being called to join the fight against corruption. Ahead of the National Forum for the Promotion of Integrity, scheduled for October 1-2, 2026 at the University of Antananarivo, the Committee for the Safeguarding of Integrity (CSI) is launching a national mobilization targeting young people from all regions of Madagascar. A call for applications is open to Malagasy youth aged 18 to 35 to form a delegation representative of the country's territorial diversity and to give youth a central place in debates on integrity, transparency, and governance. Over two days, participants will take part in sessions, exchange panels, and thematic group work. Selected young people will participate in co-drafting a "Manifesto of Civic Commitment for Integrity." This document will carry youth recommendations to strengthen integrity and improve governance. The mobilization will also take a digital form. The CSI is launching a national short video competition on the theme: "The Role of Youth in Promoting Integrity." The goal is to encourage young people to become agents of awareness themselves. Through their productions, they are invited to highlight values of integrity, ethics, transparency, and civic responsibility. This approach leverages new communication modes to reach a generation heavily present on digital platforms. The fight against corruption must be built within society, particularly among young people. This mobilization is part of the project "Fighting Corruption Through Education and Youth," led by the CSI with support from the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) and the Swiss Confederation. Through the forum, the call for applications, and the video competition, the initiative aims to create a space where youth are no longer merely recipients of integrity messages, but actors in their conception and dissemination.
