A violent incident occurred in the Ambinaniroa fokontany, Saonierana Ivongo district, on Wednesday evening. A young woman died after being stabbed multiple times by her partner. The victim was only 16 years old, while her attacker was 20. They had been living together at the woman's parents' home. The stabbing reportedly followed a heated argument between the couple. The dispute escalated from a verbal quarrel to physical violence and ultimately to the use of a knife. Unable to control his anger, the man attacked the woman with a blade, stabbing her repeatedly until she could no longer move. The woman's brother witnessed the incident and immediately alerted their parents. Emergency responders arrived quickly to find the house covered in blood and the victim severely wounded. The attacker fled the scene after committing the act. The injured woman was rushed to a health facility, but due to the severity of her wounds and massive blood loss, she could not be saved. Medical examination revealed multiple stab wounds to her chest, abdomen, and throat, which caused her death. The case is now in the hands of law enforcement authorities and an investigation into the perpetrator is underway.
