Faced with major difficulties for commuters due to yesterday's minibus strike, authorities decided to deploy buses parked at the presidential palace in Iavoloha. Several of these buses, manufactured by Chinese automaker Foton, were seen leaving the presidential palace grounds, driven by military personnel, to serve major minibus routes after refueling. Students, workers, and other commuters were transported free of charge for their return journeys at the end of the day. About twenty routes were served with approximately three buses per route, making several round trips on these itineraries: Ampefiloha/Itaosy; Anosy/Ampitatafika/Fenoarivo; 67Ha (Vatobe)/Ambohitrimanjaka/Ambohidratrimo; Andravoahangy/Ampasampito/Ambohimangakely/Ambohimalaza; CNaPS Ampefiloha/Bypass/Anjomakely; Analakely/Tanjombato/Andoharanofotsy; Ambodivona/Analamahitsy/Sabotsy Namehana; Analakely 129/Ambohipo; Anosy Radio/Ambohijatovo/Ankatso; Ankatso/67ha; Antanimena/Ambohimanarina/Ivato; Petite vitesse/Anosipatrana; Fasika/Ambodivoara/Ambohimangakel; Ivato/Ambohitrimanjaka; Domaine Alasora/Amoronakona/Rocade Iarivo/BANI; Gare Soarano/Ambohimamambola.
