A delegation from Togo's Ministry of Energy visited Madagascar on an exchange mission aimed at improving access to electricity, with support from the World Bank. This cooperation focuses on connecting populations both served and unserved by the grid, promoting renewable energy, project financing, and strengthening technical cooperation. As part of this initiative, the Togolese delegation visited the Anosibe Ifanja operations center in the Itasy region on July 30. The visit brought together ADER, WE LIGHT, and DECIM project managers. The exchanges allowed both countries to share their experiences in rural electrification and identify areas for improvement. Participants particularly emphasized the need for financial support for initial investments, or CAPEX. Such support would help reduce tariffs borne by users and expand access for rural households to modern, reliable, and sustainable electricity.
