Cabinet: 59 Appointments Against 6 Repeals of High State Positions
The Cabinet meeting held the day before yesterday at Iavoloha was marked by a vast series of appointments to high state positions. The Cabinet meeting at the State Palace of Iavoloha proceeded with a series of appointments to high state positions. 59 officials were designated to various strategic posts, against 6 repeals of appointment decrees. The new assignments concern several ministries as well as the Presidency of the Refoundation of the Republic. At the level of the Presidency of the Refoundation of the Republic, several high-ranking officers were appointed. General Deramasinjaka Manantsoa Rakotoarivelo becomes permanent secretary for Defence and National Security. General William Michel Andriamasimanana is appointed inspector general to the High Inspection for the Army. General Berarazana Patrick becomes deputy inspector general to the High Inspection for the National Gendarmerie. General Andriambololona François John Anthony Rakotondramanana, General Ndrianamboarina Florentin and Colonel Apollinaire Lezafy Celin are appointed inspectors to this structure. As for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, four appointments were recorded. Dominique Claude Rabeherifara takes over the direction of Bilateral Relations, Noro Hanitriniaina Raveloarison that of Partnership and Cooperation, Tahina Rasamoelina that of Multilateral Relations, and Olga Ramiarinjanahary is appointed ambassador of Madagascar to the Republic of Mauritius. MEF leads The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) concentrates a significant portion of the appointments. Andrianaivo Lala Masoandro Randriamampianina becomes Director General of Economy and Planning. Several central directors and regional directors of Budget and Finance were also appointed in different regions, namely Analamanga, Itasy, Diana, Sava, Atsinanana, Analanjirofo, Betsiboka, Atsimo Atsinanana, Vatovavy, Fitovinany, Ihorombe, Atsimo Andrefana, Menabe and Androy. The movement also affects several other ministries. At Justice, Pierrot Razafindranamana is appointed Director General of the National School of Penitentiary Administration (ENAP), while Boto Tsara Dia Lamina takes over the direction of Integrity Promotion. At the Ministry of Interior and Decentralization, new territorial officials were designated, such as Tombozara Alida, chief of Analalava district, Dellaris Randriamanankevitra Huberto, chief of Antsiranana prefecture, as well as several district chiefs. The ministries of Land Planning and Land Services, Agriculture and Livestock, Transport and Meteorology, Energy and Hydrocarbons, Fisheries and Blue Economy, Tourism and Crafts, as well as Population and Solidarity, are also concerned. Six repeals Concerning the repeals, five decrees were annulled at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They concern appointments to the directorates of Partnership and Development Promotion, Malagasy Abroad and Migration, Economic Promotion, Protocol, and Information Systems and Computing. The Ministry of Economy and Finance is also concerned, with the repeal of the decree appointing the president of the Public Procurement Commission. Thus, the Cabinet recorded 59 appointments and six repeals to high state positions.
