General Agricultural Census: Survey Agents in the Field
Rural stakeholders are being called upon to collaborate with survey agents. The General Agricultural Census, in its third edition (RGA-3), conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, has been launched. Survey agents mobilized for this large-scale national operation are already in the field. RGA-3 aims to fill a statistical gap, given that the last census was more than twenty years ago, while updating all structural data in the sector, particularly agriculture, livestock, and fisheries. These new databases, reliable and comprehensive, will serve as decision-making tools for designing and implementing agricultural development projects, as well as for providing direct support to producers in targeted areas. The involvement of farmers and all stakeholders working in rural areas will ensure the reliability of this data, subsequently contributing to rural development. They are thus invited to collaborate fully with the survey agents, it was concluded.
