At the official presentation ceremony of three new training standards, the Ministry of Technical Education and Professional Training (METFP) and the European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD) reached a new milestone on Monday. The official handover of three new training standards took place Monday. These new documents aim to adapt the offer to market realities. The first concerns the end-of-training certificate (CFF) "Accommodation Team Leader," designed to add genuine value to the skills of valets and housekeeping staff. The second covers the CFF "Technico-Commercial Solar Agent," which responds to strong demand for versatile profiles in the renewable energy sector, particularly for small and medium-capacity facilities. Finally, the CFF "School and Career Guidance Counselor" (COSP) aims to standardize youth support and professionalize the guidance profession. Partnership Initiated in 2020, collaboration between METFP and IECD continues to yield results in sustainably strengthening the professional training system in the Great Island. This partnership focuses on formalizing and recognizing curricula while adapting programs to private sector expectations in strategic areas such as energy, hospitality-catering, and guidance. Between 2020 and 2026, this synergy has enabled major advances: the development or improvement of nine standards in total (six in hospitality, two in photovoltaic solar, and one in guidance), as well as the deployment of alternating training programs within technical and professional secondary schools (LTP) in Alarobia, Antananarivo, and Tuléar.
