Seasonal forecasts published announce a widespread rise in temperatures across Madagascar between August and October 2026, in a climate context marked by strong El Niño. Thus, the Great Island should experience temperatures generally above climatic norms. The majority of regions are affected by this positive thermal anomaly, while the south, notably Androy and Atsimo-Andrefana, should display more moderate conditions, oscillating between normal and slightly warmer. Reading these forecasts indicates that this dynamic will persist over the three-month period, with no expected break.
