ANOSIZATO - Six men held two Indian entrepreneurs captive
Two Indian entrepreneurs were held captive during the night of July 31st in a workshop located in Anosizato Atsinanana. According to the National Police, six individuals detained them against their will and made threats. One of the victims had already been beaten and sustained a head injury. The wife of one of the two men alerted the authorities. The Rapid Intervention Unit of Tsaralalana and officers from the Mahamasina Public Security precinct immediately intervened. The two entrepreneurs, who specialize in pasta manufacturing, were freed, while the six suspected kidnappers were arrested on the spot. They were taken to the fifth district police station in Mahamasina for further investigation and case presentation to the prosecutor. The National Police affirmed that it will not tolerate any criminal acts that endanger lives or threaten public safety. It also encourages the public to quickly report any suspicious behavior.
