The written exams for the judicial track at ENMG will be retaken in September. Justice Minister Fanirisoa Ernaivo announced this on Monday following confirmation of irregularities.

Candidates in the judicial track for the entrance exam to the National School of Magistracy and Court Clerks (ENMG), located in Tsaralalàna, must retake written exams from September 1-4, 2026. These exams, originally held in December 2025, have been cancelled after confirming suspicions of subject leaks. The competition, suspended since March 15, 2026, is now partially resuming.

Justice Minister Fanirisoa Ernaivo announced the decision on Monday. According to her explanation, investigations conducted after the competition's suspension confirmed irregularities related to the judicial track. Authorities therefore decided to only resume exams affected by these anomalies.

Two main points were examined during the investigation. The first concerns possible subject leaks before the written exams. The second involves distinctive marks on certain answer sheets that may have influenced their grading. The investigation was conducted by the Independent Anti-Corruption Bureau (Bianco). Investigation conclusions were then transmitted to the Anti-Corruption Unit (PAC), responsible for pursuing legal proceedings related to the case.

After nearly five months of suspension, authorities chose a partial resumption of the ENMG entrance exam. Judicial track candidates must participate in a new written exam session scheduled for September 1-4, 2026. This decision comes as the magistrate recruitment process had been interrupted due to suspected irregularities in the competition's organization. The Justice Minister justified this choice by the need to guarantee equal opportunities among affected candidates.

Other tracks are not affected by this cancellation. Candidates in administrative and financial tracks continue the competition according to the original schedule. Oral exams for these two tracks are maintained from August 17-20, 2026.

The magistrate recruitment competition now follows two separate schedules. The judicial track will undergo new written exams in September, while administrative and financial tracks continue with oral exams scheduled for August.
