Post-Exam Baccalaureate Work: Three Ministries and Ten Universities Engaged
The hardest part is over for more than 233,500 baccalaureate candidates in Madagascar in 2026. The end of the general education baccalaureate session also marks the beginning, starting July 27, 2026, of post-session work, including copy correction, grade analysis and data processing, as well as necessary verifications. Three ministries responsible for the education sector—the Ministry of National Education (MEN), the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training (METFP), and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESUPRES)—are engaged in the baccalaureate organization process, with the involvement of ten public universities and their respective baccalaureate offices or services. In addition to universities in the six provincial capitals (Antananarivo, Fianarantsoa, Antsiranana, Mahajanga, Toliara, and Toamasina), four other public regional universities are also part of the process: the University of Itasy, located in Soavinandriana, the University of Analanjirofo, in Fénérive-Est, the University of SAVA, in Antalaha, and the University of Vakinankaratra, in Antsirabe. Post-session baccalaureate work is currently in full swing. Copy corrections, which began on July 27, will continue until mid-August 2026. This will be followed by verification stages, deliberation, counter-verification, and finally the publication of results.
