The 90th anniversary camps for the Cub Scout and Rover branches of Tily eto Madagasikara were officially launched on August 1st, 2026 in Moramanga. Held in the presence of several dignitaries, including the Minister of Communication and Culture, local authorities and scout leaders, the event brings together young people from across the country around the values of brotherhood, learning and commitment. Until August 5th, the Cub Scouts and Rovers from the island will participate in a rich program tailored to each branch, combining outdoor activities, educational games, spiritual moments and service projects. Moramanga thus becomes a true crossroads of Malagasy youth scouting.
Beyond the celebrations, the camp carries strong symbolic significance. It represents a moment of transmission between generations, paying tribute to educators and leaders who have shaped these branches over 90 years, while entrusting young people with the mission to continue this history. The fundamental values of scouting, such as brotherhood, respect, mutual aid and a sense of service, will be at the heart of this collective experience.
Meanwhile, Madagascar's presence is strengthening on the continental stage. From August 1st to 8th, 2026, the 2nd Africa Scout Moot is being held in South Africa, bringing together young scouts from several countries. Madagascar is represented notably by Nomenandriamanitra Perla Sarobidy, alongside another national delegation. This participation illustrates the openness of the Malagasy scout movement and strengthens bonds of brotherhood at the African level.
