Weather forecast: Temperature drop on the Highlands
According to forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology, this cooling will particularly affect the central Highlands and coastal areas. After a generally dry start to the week across much of the territory, weather conditions will gradually evolve. Maximum temperatures are expected to decrease slightly, with values ranging between 18°C and 35°C. On the central Highlands, this drop will be more pronounced, particularly due to more frequent cloud cover and the appearance of local drizzle. Minimum temperatures could fall to 4°C in certain areas, intensifying the sensation of morning chill. This change is largely explained by the strengthening of the trade wind regime from Thursday onwards. These winds will bring increased humidity to the eastern coasts, accompanied by weak and intermittent rainfall. On the eastern face of the Highlands, the sky will remain frequently overcast, limiting sunshine. This combination of wind, humidity, and temperature drop could favor a resurgence of respiratory illnesses, calling for vigilance among the most vulnerable populations.
