Justice: CNaPS Employee Detained
A judge ordered the provisional detention of a National Social Security Fund (CNaPS) employee on July 30. He is being prosecuted for embezzlement of funds within the institution, according to sources. The alleged offenses date back to 2025. "A routine internal audit revealed irregularities in the management of retirement pensions for members. The investigation following a significant shortfall confirmed embezzlement of funds at this employee's position," a CNaPS source explained this weekend. The employee is a member of a workers' union. CNaPS clarified that "this matter has no connection with the political orientation or union responsibilities of the person concerned, but stems solely from irregularities found during internal controls." "The Justice examined the case and rendered its verdict in accordance with applicable laws," noted the CNaPS general management in a statement on the verdict concerning the case involving its employee. It stressed that it "fully respects the independence of the Justice system and urges everyone not to disseminate unverified information, to respect the judicial proceedings, and to preserve the dignity of CNaPS."
