Around twenty transport cooperatives are currently operating at Fisandratana bus station in Amoronakona, following its official opening on June 23, 2026, ending eight years of anticipation. Five weeks after opening to the public, Amoronakona bus station is seeking its cruising speed. The school holiday period, now in full swing, thus serves as a real-world test for this newly operational infrastructure. The facility, whose construction was completed eight years ago, experienced modest traffic during its first weeks. Since the end of school exams and major official examinations, passenger flow has begun increasing gradually. Currently, around twenty transport cooperatives operating regional and national routes are based there, welcoming travelers daily. Passengers who have already experienced Amoronakona appreciate the atmosphere of the place, particularly regarding the order and security provided by this newly opened infrastructure. The only drawback mentioned by users concerns public transport connectivity and the site's distance from the city center. Indeed, the number of taxi-be lines serving the Amoronakona route remains quite limited. Currently, around half a dozen lines include Amoronakona in their itinerary. These include line 192 of Onja cooperative, line 163 of Mirindra cooperative, line E of Koloina cooperative, and line 1 operated by several cooperatives. An extension of these lines is already being considered.
