Multiple transport cooperatives launched the action to protest sanctions imposed by the Direction of Transport and Urban Mobility (DTMU). Transporters are contesting vehicle immobilizations at Anosipatrana and penalties charged to retrieve administrative documents withheld following traffic violations. The dispute highlights longstanding tensions between operators and traffic control authorities. However, not all transport professionals support the strike. The Firaisankina platform, representing national, regional, suburban and urban transporters, stated they were not associated with the strike call. Line 119 connecting 67Ha to Ankatso was notably absent Tuesday morning, as were line 133 and services linking Itaosy to downtown Analakely. Conversely, buses serving Andoharanofotsy remained visible on capital roads. Line 015 between Andohan'i Mandroseza and 67Ha operated normally. Most circulating buses removed identifying line number panels, forcing passengers to rely on vehicle color or ask conductors for route information.
