The organizing team of Jazz@Tohatohabato has unveiled the main features of an edition open to all musical disciplines. From August 5-9, Jazz@Tohatohabato will bring together artists from different backgrounds, from jazz to Hira Gasy to rap, in several emblematic venues across the capital. For over a decade, Jazz@Tohatohabato has established itself as an essential cultural meeting point in Antananarivo, drawing thousands of people each year around music and creativity. For this new edition, the event aims once again to promote artistic diversity by opening its programming to artists of all disciplines, not limited to jazz. The public will notably find artists from Hira Gasy, rap and other musical worlds, including Raozy Gasy, 18.3, the Soahary group and many others. The program will extend across several venues and institutions in the capital, notably in front of Tranompokon'olona Isotry and at Tohatohabaton'Antaninarenina. This presence in different spaces will bring artists closer to residents and make programming accessible to a wider audience. The event will also welcome two renowned German musicians, Martin Zenker, double bassist, and Robin Henn, singer, who will participate in this meeting between Malagasy and international scenes. Several events will punctuate these five days. Jazz Kids will offer a stage dedicated to young musicians, accompanied by the CGM Jazz Club, while Jazz Quartier will go directly to meet residents in neighborhoods to make music accessible to all. Jazz Street will offer an open stage for musicians in the capital, creating a space for expression, meeting and sharing. A cappella performances may also enrich the programming. The Main Stage will be one of the highlights of the event. It will host Malagasy artists and international guests, notably those selected following the call for applications, for a day dedicated to music, heritage and living together. The programming will thus allow the public to discover different styles while offering visibility to artists from the capital and beyond.
