The company has recently obtained ISO 9001, ISO 22301, and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications. "We recently received three ISO certifications, including ISO 9001, which relates to the quality of service we provide to our clients. ISO 22301 concerns the continuity of our operations, ensuring no service interruptions. The last one is ISO/IEC 27001, which relates to information security. These distinctions provide clients with assurance of reliable service, continuous availability, and enhanced protection of their data. Stellarix had previously received PCI-DSS certification, which covers payment data protection. These ISO certifications come at a crucial time. A large portion of African data, including Madagascar's, is still stored on servers located outside the continent. Yet many local companies and much of the population are unaware that there is an option to host their data in Madagascar. "The benefit of storing our data here is related to latency. When data is in the same country, there is likely to be less latency in terms of connectivity. Another advantage is that companies have their infrastructure locally, so they can have complete real-time visibility whenever they need it," explains Jessica Velosoa. For Madagascar, these certifications mean that a company or institution no longer has to choose between hosting its data locally and benefiting from the same quality and security guarantees as major global digital hubs.
