Security: National Police Launches Online Reporting Platform
Madagascar's National Police has unveiled a new digital tool. Announced yesterday in Anosy by Inspector General Erick Michel, Minister of Public Security, the "VBG National Police" platform is now operational. The platform is designed to collect reports related to gender-based violence and disappearances. Access is available from a computer or Android phone with an internet connection. The ministry assures that user anonymity and confidentiality are guaranteed. The objective is to remove barriers to reporting and accelerate victim support. "Facilitate reporting and protect those who dare to speak," summarized Inspector General Erick Michel. For users without internet access or preferring direct contact, police stations remain accessible throughout the territory.
