Two individuals suspected of involvement in mobile phone snatching thefts were arrested by officers from the 7th District Public Security Police Station (CSP7) during a patrol operation conducted on July 24 in the 67Ha neighborhood. The arrests occurred several hours apart. The first suspect was apprehended around 1 p.m. at the line 119 bus stop, while the second was arrested around 4 p.m. in 67Ha South, near the Public Primary School (EPP). Both men were taken to the police station for investigation purposes. Following their custody period, they will be presented before the prosecutor's office to answer charges against them. These arrests are part of security operations conducted daily by the National Police to combat theft and criminal acts that particularly affect densely populated neighborhoods in the capital. Mobile phone thefts, often committed in broad daylight on the street, are among the most frequent offenses and fuel residents' sense of insecurity. The National Police reaffirms its determination to intensify patrols and field operations to protect the population, particularly the most vulnerable. It also urges citizens to promptly report any suspicious behavior or criminal activity to help strengthen public security.
