A remarkable and well-attended ceremony marked the official inauguration of the EPP Mahabe school at Zap Brieville in the Betsiboka education district on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Despite road difficulties encountered, the Betsiboka regional head and his delegation did not postpone the inaugural visit planned for the Tsaratanàna district in the southern part of the region. The EPP Mahabe was thus officially inaugurated before all attendees, resulting from collaboration between the Brieville municipal community and the Fondation Axian, through the association SE TENDRE LA MAIN. Local community members from Mahabe also contributed to the success of the event. The foundation stone was laid on July 15, 2025, with construction completed by January 2026, and the school is now operational. The facility comprises three classrooms accommodating 60 students, along with a recreation area and a sanitation facility. Results from the primary school level CEPE national examination showed excellent performance rates. The Betsiboka regional head was accompanied by the national deputy representing the Tsaratanàna district, municipal authorities from the southern part of the district, and various government officials and education sector representatives. Notably, Regional Head Atoa TOMBOZARA presented equipment donations including plates, bowls, cooking utensils, spoons, cups, and sports materials for the Mahabe community.
