Days after the discovery of a first body in the Ikopa River at Ambohimanambola, a second corpse was recovered yesterday morning from the same waters. The victim is a 23-year-old young man whose death circumstances are considered suspicious. The theory of murder followed by the body being dumped in the water is currently being prioritized. The Ambohimanambola gendarmerie has opened an investigation. Two men suspected of involvement in the case have been taken into custody for questioning. The victim, a truck tanker co-driver, was reportedly deliberately killed according to his relatives. His body was found in the river, but his stomach showed no signs of prolonged immersion. "This young man was beaten during an altercation. He was not found that night, but his body was discovered in the water the next morning.
