Ambohimanambola: Another Body Found in Ikopa River
Just as one case was being resolved, another body has been discovered. Yesterday morning, a corpse was found during a search, already in an advanced state of decomposition. A man who had gone missing from his home was found dead in the Ikopa River near Ambohimanambola. Concerns had been raised with authorities when he disappeared. There were also reports that he had been seen near the riverbank. This prompted a decision to launch a search operation. Rescue teams were called and searches were conducted in the surrounding areas and in the water. The young man's body was indeed found. Following this, an investigation was opened by the police at Ambohimanambola, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Ambohimalaza police brigade. It is feared that just days ago, another young person was also found dead in the same river, still in Ambohimanambola. This case remains deeply contested by the family seeking proof that their child did not drown but was murdered. The investigation has extended to examining ancestors due to suspicions. This latest discovery remains fully within the scope of police investigations as they gather all information that could determine the cause of death. It is indeed difficult to believe that a young person would go to the Ikopa to swim and then commit suicide, especially in these times when deaths have been found here and there. Is the Ikopa becoming a place of mysterious deaths?
