A lifeless body discovered. The body of a man in his fifties was found in Ambohimahitsy, in the district of Soavinandriana (Itasy). The victim appears to have been brutally killed. A gruesome discovery was made Tuesday in Tsaramasoandro, in the Ambohimahitsy sector, fokontany of Miavotra Mapiherika, commune of Ambohidanerana, district of Soavinandriana, Itasy region. A man of approximately 50 years old was found dead after being reported missing for several hours. According to information gathered, the victim left his home Monday to have his motorcycle repaired. However, he did not return home, which quickly alarmed his relatives. A search was then conducted by his family and local residents. The following day, his body was finally discovered, but he was already deceased. The victim appears to have suffered severe violence. His body bore numerous wounds and knife marks, particularly on the head and face. The injuries were so severe that his face was unrecognizable, making identification difficult at first. His clothing reportedly allowed his relatives to identify him. Particularly disturbing information also indicates that the victim suffered mutilations. The exact circumstances of this murder remain to be determined. An investigation has been opened by the competent authorities to establish the precise circumstances of the tragedy, identify the perpetrator or perpetrators, and determine their motive.
