While the 2026 general education baccalaureate session concluded last week, technical education baccalaureate candidates are beginning their second phase today, lasting four days. The 2026 baccalaureate is not yet over for technical education candidates. In total, 10,859 candidates will return to examination centers starting today for tests specific to technical, technological, and professional streams, after completing common exams for general streams last week.

According to official statistics from the baccalaureate offices of the ten public universities involved in organizing the examination, Antananarivo has the largest number of candidates with 4,555 registered, followed by Toamasina (1,296 candidates), Mahajanga (1,122), Fianarantsoa (1,086), Vakinankaratra (766), Antsiranana (743), Toliara (481), Analanjirofo (412), SAVA (238), and Itasy (160).

Security and Surveillance

As during the general baccalaureate session and the first phase of technical education baccalaureate, the second phase beginning today benefits from the same security and surveillance measures in examination halls and sites. For candidates, the weekend provided an opportunity to recharge, maintain concentration at its best level as in the previous week, and be in peak condition for this second examination week. For them, the "manala azy vita bac" will come Thursday evening, and possibly next weekend!
