The beneficiaries of Midi Madagasikara group's solidarity action. On the occasion of Children's Month and on the eve of the National Holiday, the Midi Madagasikara group has continued its traditional solidarity initiative. Yesterday, 64 underprivileged children from Ankorondrano Atsinanana received far more than gifts: a moment of warmth and dignity. Bringing the magic of "Asaramanitra" to those who need it most: this is the solidarity challenge taken up once again by the Midi Madagasikara group during Children's Month. There are 64 children, aged from 8 months to 9 years old, who benefited from this outpouring of generosity. Among them are life stories already marked by resilience: children who have lost a father or mother, children without parents raised by the courage of their grandmothers, and children with disabilities. Their parents, for the most part, struggle daily. "Most of them are washerwomen or small traders in Behoririka," explains Nirina Rasoarivelo, head of the social department in the fokontany of Ankorondrano Atsinanana. In this daily reality where every ariary counts, festivities often take a back seat. So that the winter cold and poverty would not erase the magic of "Asaramanitra," Midi Madagasikara went all out: candles and the essential lanterns to light up the children's faces, not forgetting warm blankets, essential during this winter season. The children did not return home on empty stomachs, as hot meals consisting of chicken, peas and a banana for dessert were also offered to them. "Despite the rising cost of living and the difficulties we face, we thank heaven that we can still help," confides Marthe Rajaofera Andriambelo (MRA), founder of Midi Madagasikara. Solidarity. If this day had the taste of celebration, Midi Madagasikara's commitment does not stop there. From Monday to Friday, the group distributes hot meals to these children. Crucial food aid that helps ease the burden on the most vulnerable households, although the National Holiday and Christmas menu remains exceptional. For families, this gesture is a lifeline. Sylvia Rakotondravao, mother of four children, testifies to her daily reality: "Finding food for the family each day is our greatest challenge. I am a washerwoman, and this daily hot meal saves us literally, because there are days when I cannot even find laundry to wash."
