ACCELERE-O: Program to Boost Growth of Malagasy SMEs
Malagasy small and medium-sized enterprises can now benefit from enhanced support to improve their structure, competitiveness and access to financing. The enterprise acceleration program "ACCELERE-O" was officially launched two days ago at the Radisson Blu, in the presence of government representatives, the private sector and technical and financial partners. Implemented in collaboration with the Integrated Growth Poles Project, under the PIC3 framework, and financed by the World Bank Group, the program aims to support Malagasy enterprises with significant development potential. It specifically addresses the main challenges faced by SMEs, including limited access to financing and markets, weak managerial capacity, insufficient financial structuring and technological evolution challenges. According to its promoters, ACCELERE-O is open to formal enterprises operating in the nine intervention regions of PIC3. Candidates must have annual revenue between 50 million and 500 million ariary and operate in the digital or agribusiness sectors. Selected companies will receive twelve months of personalized strategic support from national and international experts. The program will focus on business strategy, governance, financial management, innovation, productivity, access to financing and market expansion. Financial assistance of up to 50,000 US dollars may also be granted to beneficiaries. Prioritized. Presiding over the launch as Minister of Economy and Finance and president of the National PIC Committee, Dr Ramiarison Herinjatovo Aimé recalled that no sustainable economic recovery could be achieved without solid, innovative enterprises capable of creating jobs. He also encouraged young entrepreneurs to seize the opportunities offered by this initiative. The minister specified that program results should be measured through concrete indicators: revenue growth, productivity improvement, job creation, effective access to financing, innovation development and market expansion. Beyond enterprise support, ACCELERE-O aligns with government policy to support the private sector, improve the business climate and mobilize investment. The stated objective is to develop better-structured, more productive enterprises capable of contributing sustainably to Madagascar's economic transformation.
