Students from 29 public primary schools in the Itasy region will soon benefit from school canteens. The result of a partnership between the World Food Programme (WFP) and Lions Clubs International, district 417, this project will contribute to improving learning conditions for students and enhancing their nutritional status. The project is part of the priority initiatives of district 417, within the 2026-2027 mandate of the newly installed district governor. Scheduled to launch in September at the start of the next school year, it will allow thousands of students to enjoy a hot and balanced meal on school days.
